Thenafter, I still send my self taken pics to my boss. Haaa!

The reason that I put on make up and took so many shots is also because of this – (how do I look?) hee!

It’s a Monday morning and as I dragged myself out of the bed, I just want to get to the office as soon as possible as there’s a contract signing in the morning.

I didn’t put on any makeup.

Then, my boss came in and surprised me with pinkish-orangey roses. I would have been in tears if this is a confirmed ‘bye-bye’ to this office. The roses is in the shade of pink that I really like. Not the loud pure pink nor the light faded pink. It’s a vibrant shade of pink that bright up my dull boring work station.

I am so bless that I couldn’t even believe myself. My boss showered with me with love that is so dear to my heart.

Which girl doesn’t like flowers?? Just look at the smile on my face! I really wish my boss would be my god-mother! I would be in tears if this is really the last time I’m going to be in this office. But NO! I’m still going back! Just that my previous contract has ended with them and my boss thought that she wants to give me this “official last day” with the beautiful flowers to give me a glory goodbye…

Then after, she treated me Jap food for lunch! OMG! It’s like so many treats from her and now the roses. Here’s the pic with Alice. The rest of the pics are in her camera, gotta wait for her to send to me.

I wasn’t prepared at all and their gifts are still on my desk and the present that I’ve been preparing for the past 2months are still with me. I wasn’t sad at all on this day because I know I be coming back. So I didn’t bring my camera and didn’t have makeup on. I feel so bad.

Josh, Alicia, Heng and Alice got me a present too…

I now declared that I am a genuine devoted Orcharder!

I had been on the road of Orchard for the past 7days! And everyday I woke up before 9am for it!

Well, I am once again at the junction where I have to make decision again. I hate it!!

I was offered to teach at this centre where it is a 5-day week which Monday and Thursday are the off-day. I don’t mind working on Saturday but as I chat with Jing, I told her I would prefer Sundays off so I could meet friends on Sat evenings where everyone will get their off and such cos who would go out with me on Monday and Thursday? Haa… And Jing agreed.

That is a minor issue. But the thing is now I will be attending Tuesday lessons and having Friday classes at 730pm in the East side whereas this centre is at Orchard (ya…again!) and off work at 630pm.

But I really like the teaching in the centre. It will be something different and I’ve never tried before which I would want to experience. They do baby massage for a few months old to 2 years old. And there’s alot of other classes for students up to aged 12.

But the pay is lower than what I’m getting now.

It’s a choice. The founder advised me to consider my family commitment and if whether I would want to learn new skills and such.

Seriously, I HATE the corporate world. I tried. I’m into it now but it’s just NOT ME.

Now – the bread or the interest?

Ah Gal and I met early in the morning to Orchard for breakfast. After breakfast, we went for our test.

Thenafter, we went shopping!

It was a super hot day and both of us just want to run in the mall to cool down.

Then, Ah Gal asked if we could go for car ride and have fun for the rest of the evening. So, we took a bus down to the workshop and get the car.

While waiting for Jing to get ready, we drove back to my house for some air-con. Then, we were out again to send my sis for her concert rehearsal.

After picking Jing, we drove to Ren Ci to visit my friend.

A great lovely thanks to all of you who know or dont know Ling for asking me how’s her condition. We saw that she’s in lesser pain and she is still trying hard to speak and move. I could say that her status is the same.

We then did some shots with this beauty red car.

After much discussion, we went to T3 for dinner. It was sooooo crowded! The terminal no longer serves the purpose as an airport but more like a mall for those who runs out of idea where to go. We had a great evening and as we decided to end our girly night, it ended in an unpleasant manner.

As our car drove out, another car from the lot hit into us and gosh.

I quickly called for help and Jing helped with Ah Gal to settle with the other party and ……………..

I don’t wanna feed in the details as the whole incident has stucked with us for the whole night.

What an adventure! 

My lovely students… They are the ones who made me so stress up before Friday comes and they are also the students that made myself feel proud every Friday night.

Although they’re loud, noisy and unattentive but that is a challange to me. Anw, which child don’t run and make noise?

My boss treated me lunch – again!

I’m not saying her wonderful because she treated me lunch but she is hardly a boss anyone of us could ever find in an organisation.

She had a heart to heart talk with me and always on the other end pulling me up whenever I feel down. She motivates me and hit me really hard to push me to what I should be pursuing. She decided not to have me by her side because she believes that I should go for something greater than staying in this job. She feels that my talent is totally wasted by staying on and she believes in me going for something else which I could fully show my power.

She came from the point of view which she really thought about my future, my plan and what is best for me. Every morning at work, she would come up to me with updates of what she read in the papers which I could go for or would even print out materials that I could even consider trying for.

Not to mention that Alice is another great working colleague I’ve ever had. When she do visits to places, she’ll have me in her mind that she will take handouts and flyers in the area which I’m looking forward to.

As much as I want to stay and the reason is because of great lovely people whom I might not have the next lucky chance to meet on my next path, but they’re doing for my good and I feel that I should go for my own good too.

It is a totally dumb decision if anyone were to stay at a workplace because of colleagues instead of planning what is best for yourself on moving forward.

I am so glad that I was being pushed to pursue what I want and I should do it for my own good, for my next stage of life.

This set of sandwiches is the most expensive yet tasteless piece I’ve ever had. During that 1 hour lunch, I was drowned with thoughts and a heavy heart with the chatting session between my boss and me.

I am thankful for all the wondeful people around me.

I am so fortunate that my company shuts down the aircon, lights and locked the door by 6pm. Which forced everyone to go home. This is kinda work-life as you are supposed to accompany and spend time with your family instead of staying back. We definitely need to work on that to promote to every organisation!

Well, So I stayed back late and I was planning to walk to Shangrila to surprise Jing. End up, I got lost when I couldn’t see Shangrila within my sight. Haa… So Jing asked me to wait for her at the crossroad, where I showed her my office. She screamed that we were both so near to each other and she got so excited about it. Cos she can’t seems to visualise when I explained to her how near our workplace is together.

So, here, my pretty lady in her formal wear.

And so, we took the same bus home and again talked like machine gun trying to update each other within that 40mins ride and as usual, we haven’t finished our conversation when we reached the stop to alight. Throughout the journey, she keeps feeling heartache for me as I didn’t know there’s a bus to take from home to work all these while! So I got myself angry with all the stupid MRT rides and Jing felt so ‘wasted’ for me. Well well, at least now I know.

After dragging for soooo long, we girls finally set this date for our girly dinner outing. Due to studies, Josh and Alicia has their days committed to school and Alice got her 2 kids to be the priority while I got my whole class of students to take care… So this is the night!

While in office, Alicia’s beau got all of us donuts! Yummy! THanks to ur dear, Alicia!

Then our dessert -After dinner, we believed that we need to do some workout! Multi-shots! And we don’t care who walked past us and who walked infront of our camera! Alice then SMS say these are her virgin shots for posing all those funny pose with us!!! I love it, dearie! Haaa!

Do you believe it – we had no blues to start our Monday that very morning!

I thought I had given up on facebook because it was so slow for me. But when Alicia told me that I could click on the option to ignore all my requests…. I finally log in again over the weekend. It’s crazy. There’s like over 2500 requestssss!! Whenever I log in and see that I can never get to clear them, I just log out.

So, I chose the “ignore all” button! Sorry for those who are really my friends and I deleted your request. (For those who I dont know, please do not add me)

Well, so my sister who’d actually stopped playing facebook for quite some time ago, got herself hooked to it some time back. And she showed me her ‘baby’ already got into kindergarten. I got so jealous about her beauties when I decided to check out mine!

So, here they are -

Baby Fanta – Then I changed Baby Fanta to a sporty one! Wohoooo!

Baby Boo – I just get her to nap and their expression will all change altogether! Cute!

Baby Troy – Where he looked blurr as I woke him up. Then I put him into the bumble bee costume!

I just can’t stop playing! And to add on, now I’ve start inviting all godmothers,godfathers, aunts, uncles and babysisters to my babies! Haaa! This is what I’ve been doing for the whole of this morning. So, pardon me!

*update: Alicia is offically my baby Tiara’s godma and she just ‘ordered’ me to her desk and asked me what I’ve done and how I treat my baby as she’s surviving on a very low percentage growth score. Haaa… And she just gave Tiara a hundred percent love! Heh!

How ironic – I started this very first blog post with a farewell…

Before we go for our lunch, we girls did it again!

The farewell lunch…

About 3 weeks ago, my boss sent out an offical email to everyone (our wing) for this lunch thingy.  She explained in her email that she enjoys food and she wants a celebration for her settling down (after 3mth??). I know that everyone knows about it except me. But so sadly, somebody spoilt the fun by breaking the surprise to me.

And then she said out loud the purpose for this lunch… Then she gave me an unexpected. She bought me a gift! I was shocked!

She bought one for Alice too to reward her for her hard work. Yes, I can see it too, Alice is the one saving the KPIs now…

In additional, she even do up a chart to show that we had hit the goal for one of our KPIs for the year. What can I say, my boss really put in so much effort to make this lunch a happening and fun one.

And so, both of us got ourselves the watch advert!

Other than that, she even bought posters for the Finance team and the Members Relations team! As these are the 2 departments that are near to us, we always go up to them whenever we needed help. My boss feel so appreciated for their support, decided to give them “awards” too…

Okay, second try –

Still cannot make it. Blame it on the fish okay! Not my fault!

Well, here are the people whom I’ve spent so closely with for the past months. Mel was on her full day leave and yet she make an effort to come back all the way down to join in this lunch. I really heart her!

The surprise wasnt the end yet. My boss found out that there’s 4 of us on the table who are the June babies and even brought along candles to sing them Birthday Song!

I truly understand how it feels to make everyone else happy. Because the person will feel so happy herself when she sees the smiles on the faces…

This is the lunch which is fully a treat by my boss. A treat to make everyone happy. A treat for me to remember. A treat which I swallowed my tears. A treat that brings everyone together. If only all the companies in SG have such a boss. She is an amazing boss. She planned so much to put all these together and it’s her way to show that she loves me (?)… I can only count myself so lucky to have such wonderful people and the best boss I can ever get.

This is only one-third of us in the company. There’s still another Training team, Project team, and so many that I don’t know. Oh, also another part of the people at Keppel. I love you guys and thanks to all of you who made my ev-ery-day.

The girls had already planned for many things like house party and such. I am sure that I’m not going to missed any one of them ok! And aunty being so nice that she keeps asking me to come back as she’ll leave a lot of food for me to eat.
